Product Overview

Screeds are used globally in building construction, and to ensure a good quality screed surface without any cracks, reinforcement is often necessary. Intensive chemical reactions occur in the screed during the drying period (28 days after application), and these reactions generate internal stresses, which can lead to a cracked surface and then the problematic installation of tiles or resin. 

ADFORS Vertex® Grid concrete reinforcing mesh ensures the stability of the screed even after the first crack, by allowing the screed to absorb more energy during deformation. Strengthening with fiberglass reinforced concrete eliminates drying cracks by up to 60 % compared to a standard steel mesh and decreases the visibility of any crack by 50%.

Vertex® Grid concrete mesh is less costly and more effective than steel or polypropylene fibers, and this high-performance, high-strength product is  lightweight and easy to install and use. This innovative, superior alternative to steel chicken wire mesh and polypropylene fibers is easy to work with, will not rust or rot and provide increased durability in every cementitious application.
